The Partnership
Banquo Credit Management LLP is a specialist global investment grade credit manager of institutional funds founded in response to a need for a better way to manage credit risk. The present firm was formally incorporated in 2004, research and modelling commencing in 2002.
The firm was founded by Peter Luthy and Kevin Regan. They were joined by Managing Partners Mark Boylan, now Vice Chairman, Mark Goodman and William Mendenhall. The Chairman is Alan Brown, the former Director of Group Risk for Barclays plc. Banquo Credit Management LLP presently comprises 25 investment professionals as members of the partnership together with an additional support staff.
Banquo is a limited liability partnership principally located in London, with an office in Singapore. Clients include pension funds, insurance companies, banks, foundations and state institutions in jurisdictions throughout Europe, the Middle East, Bermuda and Australasia.
Banquo's significant minority investor and strategic partner is XL Capital Ltd, one of the world's leading providers of reinsurance coverage.
Quality and transparency of client reporting, servicing and contact are a hallmark of Banquo, much valued by clients of the firm especially during the recent turbulence in global credit markets.
Banquo is the investment manager of Diversification Notes plc, a Dublin Incorporated public limited company, which issues medium term notes ("MTNs") based upon a highly diversified portfolio (Portfolio) of Aaa to Baa2 corporate bonds, ABS and financials. The Portfolio maintains bond fund credit quality ratings of A- from Fitch Rating Services Limited and Standard & Poor's.
